Chris, I have to say I was really impressed with the service you provided and the enthusiasm with which it was provided - especially as we only booked the one activity through you. The go-Karting venue was excellent and we went on to have a great night at cafe bagdad - so thanks for sorting the tickets. I think senor stag is a very impressive organisation and will recommend you to friends or use you again if (God forbid!) I have to organise another Spanish Stag do.

August Feria

Party with the Spanish in what has been described as one of the biggest street parties in Southern Spain.
The Malaga Fair known as the Malaga Feria commences on the third weekend of August and consists of ten days of daytime drinking & dancing in Malaga city centre. At night the festivities continue a couple of kilometres out of town - with more drinking & more partying!
This must be the best excuse the Malaguenos have for a full on drinking session!! |
The fiesta starts off with a bang at midnight with a firework display in the port. The following day everyone takes to the streets around the main high street Marques de Larios, with Señoritas dressed in their traditional flamenco dresses, passionately dancing "Sevillanas" - the traditional dance of Andalucia.
The vibe here is absolutely amazing, the city shuts down as millions of people take to the streets to party the Spanish way. The bars, clubs and restaurants are the only places open for business. You'll also find plenty of large drinking stalls scattered around the city, serving the local sweet wine 'Cartojal', as well as San Miguels and tapas.
At 7:00PM, the party starts to wind down on the streets as most people prepare for the "Real de la Feria" on the outskirts of town. This is the perfect time to have a siesta and recharge those batteries, it may be necessary if you want to party until sunrise. |

There is a special bus service that will take you to the night time Feria, and if you don't do public transport you can always catch cab.

Once there, you'll find over one hundred large stalls (known as "casetas") with live entertainment, refreshments and tapas. We suggest you take a stroll around the stalls and then take your pick!
The fun fair is also worth a visit. It's one of the biggest fun fairs we've ever seen! With all of the typical fairground rides and loads more, it will entertain your stag group for hours.
At 1:00AM the night is only just starting! You can head back into Benalmadena or Malaga to continue the night or you can stay at the night time Feria, enjoying the rides and visiting the drinking stalls. |
When your body can not take any more, get yourselves to bed because you will be doing it all over again tomorrow!!

Senor Stag's Suggestion #1:
The Feria had over 6 million visitors in 2004 so make sure you book your accommodation early!! You have two locations to choose from: Malaga City where you'll be in the centre of where it all happens or Benalmadena where you´ll have a very lively marina nearby and be only a short cab ride away from the Spanish fiesta!! Both locations will be heaving in August.
Senor Stag's Suggestion #2:
It's going to be very hot in August so don't forget the sun cream. Drinking in the sun can be lots of fun and if you're going to be doing it all day everyday, make sure you also drink plenty of water!
